Reductions in Force: California Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (Cal-WARN Act)

Last week’s legal update provided an overview of Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act obligations under federal law. As is often the case in California, in addition to complying with federal laws, California employers must also comply with additional obligations under state laws when implementing reductions in force.
