California Civil Rights Department Publishes Disability Accommodations at Work Fact Sheet

The California Civil Rights Department, which enforces the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), has published a Disability Accommodations at Work Fact Sheet, accessible here. The Fact Sheet provides an overview of California law and employer obligations regarding disability accommodations both prior to hire and during employment. The Fact Sheet provides a helpful refresher for employers to ensure ongoing compliance with the FEHA to address disability accommodations and prevent discrimination. It also provides links to helpful resources, such as a reasonable accommodation request form, medical certification form, interactive process discussion notes, and implementation form.
